Breath of Being V1: Personal Observations
Vital energy, the life force, is always present. The question isn’t whether it exists, but how it’s flowing. In this post, I share personal insights on amplifying, unblocking, and maintaining your energy to live with vitality, presence, and joy. Let’s explore what boosts your energy, what stalls it, and how to integrate simple practices into your daily life.
💡 Be Aware. Stay Young. Have Fun.
Energy doesn’t vanish, it either gets blocked or amplified. By understanding what influences your vitality, you can consciously cultivate a life of flow. Below, I break down the amplifiers, blockers, external influencers, and physical indicators of energy, plus practical ways to stay connected to your life force.
🔺 Energy Amplifiers: Boost Your Vitality
Certain emotions and activities naturally enhance your energy flow, raising your vibration and unlocking your potential. Here’s what I’ve found works:
- Arousal: Especially sexual energy. When transmuted, it fuels drive and inspiration.
- Anger: Dangerous if raw, but when channeled with intention, it becomes powerful fuel.
- Laughter & Joy: Opens the heart, instantly raising your vibration.
- Focused Breathwork & Movement: Practices like Qi Gong, martial arts, dance, yoga, or somatic exercises physically circulate energy.
- Music: Acts like an external wave, syncing your internal rhythm.
- Letting Go of Ego: Fear, pressure, and the need to prove yourself block energy. Trust, stillness, and presence allow “God energy” to flow.
- Nature Exposure: Sunlight, forest, fresh air, ocean, or grounding on grass/sand clears mental fog and restores balance.
Note: In future posts, I’ll rank these amplifiers by raw power, duration, and emotional clarity for deeper insight.
🔻 Energy Blockers: What Stalls Your Flow
Energy doesn’t disappear, it gets stuck. These “knots” slow your vitality, but they’re also indicators, not enemies. Here’s what I’ve noticed:
- Stress: Temporary and often unblocked through breath, posture, or movement.
- Anxiety: A deeper, “cold flame” sensation in the chest, gut, or shoulders. Energy feels locked but present.
- Regret: Sticky, pulling mental and heart energy backward to past mistakes.
- Shame/Guilt: Sits heavy in the solar plexus or chest. Acceptance and change can unlock it.
- Overthinking: Traps energy in your head, disconnecting you from your body and spiraling into anxiety or fear.
- People & Self: Caring too much about others’ opinions or useless self-criticism drains you.
- Suppressed Expression: Emotions are energy in motion. Unexpressed, they stagnate, leading to tension, passive aggression, or burnout.
Insight: These aren’t “bad” emotions—they’re signals. Sitting with them in meditation or journaling can start the unblocking process.
☕️ External Influencers: The Double-Edged Sword
External factors can either enhance or disrupt your energy. Here’s what I’ve learned:
- Caffeine: Boosts energy when you’re “open” but feels like revving a car with the handbrake on if you’re blocked.
- Food: Heavy foods stagnate energy; light, natural meals enhance it.
- Sugar: Causes fast, unstable energy spikes followed by crashes.
- Processed Media: Doom scrolling or overstimulation subtly drains energy by pulling you into low-awareness states.
- Music: Can unlock or suppress energy depending on frequency, lyrics, and emotional resonance.
- Masturbation (Porn Addiction): Drains energy when done unconsciously or habitually. A double-edged sword.
- Negative Influences: Toxic relationships or constant exposure to negativity (people or social media) impacts your energy.
Tip: Curate a short playlist of songs categorized by their energy effect to stay intentional.
🪞 Physical Indicators: Your Body’s Energy Mirror
Your body reflects your energy state. Pay attention to these signs:
- Eyes: Glistening eyes signal flowing prana; dull eyes suggest depletion.
- Face: Tight jaw, pale cheeks, or low muscle tone often point to blocked energy (culprits: alcohol, frequent masturbation, emotional suppression, poor sleep).
- Posture:
- Slumped: Compresses the diaphragm, reducing lung capacity and trapping energy. You feel heavy and dull.
- Upright: Opens the ribcage for deep belly breaths, allowing energy to flow efficiently. You feel alert and grounded.
- Overextended (“lobster” posture): Puffed chest but disconnected from the core, leading to shallow breathing and masked insecurity.
⚠️ Busting Meditation Myths
Myth: Meditation requires sitting still, lying down, or silence.
Truth: Meditation is presence, not posture. It’s focused awareness—anywhere, anytime:
- Walking: Breathe with awareness, feel your steps.
- Cooking: Move intentionally, savor smells and textures.
- Working: Perform with rhythm and mindfulness for flow.
- Training or Intimacy: Unify breath, body, and mind.
Insight: Dissolving the boundary between “life” and “meditation” lets vitality flow through every action.

Incorporate these quick practices to stay connected to your life force:
-
Energizing Breath Reset (1–2 min):
- Exhale fully, visualizing the feeling of a “good breath.”
