I am the greatest ever
I'm the most hungry and ravenous that's ever lived
I'm so voracious even the gods don't know far it goes

So hungry to get mine, I'll spill my soul
across the arena floor,
let it pool beneath my feet
like wine from a broken chalice.

I've been fasting for eons,
Waiting on substance
I've been striving through lifetimes,
training on emptiness,
my bones hollow as a hawk's,
my fists full of lightning and purpose
Every fiber of my soul burns at this hunger

The crowd roars but they don't understand
The gods watch but they don't see
this isn't about winning
This isn't about conquering
This is about feeding the it
that has teeth older than scripture
Fangs older than the world
Echos older than a nebula

Give me mine and I'll spill my soul,
trade every sacred atom I carry
for one moment of being full,
one breath without the gnawing.

I am the greatest hunger
walking on two legs,
I am the first it,
the one that made mankind burn,

I am the primal fire
that lit the very first heart,
the hunger so deep that God
steps back when I enter the ring.
